Description

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA
R&M is the General Design Consultant for preparation of preliminary and final design for the 3.5-mile extension of light rail transit into southeast San Jose. The project includes four new light rail stations, and median and side-running light rail on guideway in three locations. A new bus transit center at Eastridge Mall is included.

R&M Responsibilities

R&M responsibilities include overall team management, QA/QC program implementation, as well as design of roadway, retaining wall, utilities, drainage, signing, striping and construction staging plans. R&M is also preparing right of way requirements, utility relocation plans and cost estimate management.

Special Features

This project is the only extension of light rail transit underway in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prime Consultant managing 22 subconsultants for a 24 month final design process.
